Born in Chile Zanelli raced in GP racing and hillclimbs in 1929 to 1936. In a Bugatti he won the 1929 and 1930 Bugatti GP at Le Mans, finished 8th in Alessandria in 1929 and 2nd in 1930, 2nd at the 1929 Marne GP and 3rd at the 1930 French GP at Pau. He also won the 1930 Gometz-Le Chatel Hillclimb. In 1931, racing a 2.8 litre Nacional Pescara, he became the European Hillclimb Champion with a series of good performaces including a victory at Kesselberg. He had a quiet year in 1932 but started again in 1933 after buying the Alfa Romeo Monza (#2111042), in which Raymond Sommer had won the 1932 Le Mans 24-Hour race and the 1932 Marseille GP. Zanelli overhauled the car and started in 1933 at the Grand Prix of Tunis, l'ACF, Penya Rhin, Marne and Spain, winning at Penya Rhin and finishing 8th at Tunis and 6th at the Brooklands 500. He contunued with the Monza in 1934 and in 1935 he raced Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Nacional Pescara, winning the Val de Cuech Hillclimb. In 1936 he raced a V8-RI Scuderia Torino and a Maserati 8CM for Scuderia Villapadierna. Zanelli died during a fight between members of the French resistence (he was part of it), and members of the Gestapo, in the streets of Toulouse, France in 1944.

Born in Austria Zatuszek was a car mechanic and businessman by occupation. Later on he left Austria for Argentina, where he became well known not only for his successes with his Mercedes SSK but also for the amount of beer he drank at the pit stops. He died in an accident in practice for the GP of Cavilia on 8 October 1937.

At the 1924 Italian GP Zborowski's Mercedes hit the outer edge of the track at the Lesmo curve from where the car shot across to the inside, hitting a post ending up against a nearby tree. Zborowski with a broken scull died during transport to the hospital.

Alfa Romeo works GP driver 1931 with several good results. Private "Monza" driver in 1932 winning the Comminges GP. Changed to Maserati 8CM in 1933-34. Joined Scuderia Subalpina (Maserati) in 1935. Mercedes-Benz reserve driver in 1936-37. Works Maserati driver in 1938. Retired from racing 1939.

Child of a Hungarian count and a British mother, Zichy was born in Eastbourne 1908. Playboy, who tried racing in a Bugatti. Later made a career as a photographer. Commited suicide at Camden, London in 1987.
